Pros and Cons of E-Books

By John

There are varied views about e-books; many of them are discussed on the blog popcornreads.com.

According to the blog, some authors think that producing e-books is easier than regular books because they do not need a publisher.  Instant availability is another e-book advantage.

However, the blog also discusses some negative aspects of e-readers too.  If there are any mistakes in the e-book, the author assumes responsibility, unlike a traditional book, where the publisher shares responsibility with the author for the accuracy of the text.  E-books sell at a lower price than traditional books, which can affect the author’s income.

Piracy is another negative aspect of publishing e-books.
